I am a Canadian currently living in Ukraine. With 12 years combined experience living, studying, and working in Ukraine and Russia, I have gained wide exposure to these countries, their peoples, and the numerous facets of life and business in these former Soviet regions. I am a native English speaker with fluency in Russian and functional Ukrainian.
Here is a bit about me and my qualifications:
- 17 years in business as a sole proprietor
- Native English speaker (familiar with British and American English usage)
- Fluency in Russian, basic understanding of Ukrainian
- Ample experience editing and writing different types of materials (e.g. scientific, technical, commercial, promotional, personal, news, website material, analytical pieces, reports, project and funding proposals)
- Written translation from Russian to English, with ability to correct mistakes in translation
- TESOL/ CELTA certification for Teaching English as a Foreign Language
- Extensive experience in project management at all stages, from idea, planning and inception through to implementation, reporting and monitoring
- Event management
- Substantial history working with not-for-profit organizations
